Flowers and Food

Jersey is known as The Island of Flowers and renowned for its famous Jersey Potataoes.

It’s the warmest place in the British Isles. The language spoken is English, the currency is GBP however, bizarrely it is nearer to France than Britain and all of the streets are named in French so you get a bizarre clash of cultures…it is a fascinating culture to embrace.

Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands, it is not part of the EU but is a quasi English-French Isle which will intrigue and puzzle you all at the same time!

It is great for a weekend break here, you can explore and discover castles and coastlines, go horse-riding, walking or cycling on the island. The food quality the best in the British Isles, whether you opt for the famous Jersey Royale Potatoes or the fresh harvested Oysters… you won’t be disappointed!

St Helier

The capital of Jersey and home to 33,500 of Jersey’s inhabitants, St Helier is not only beautiful but it is also full to the brim with history.

Make sure you visit the Jersey Tourism Visitors’ Centre, where you can get information on what’s happening whilst you are there! Visit Liberation Square and follow the Maritime Trail around the Waterfront, or see the statue of George II in the Royal Square which is used as the milestone.
